The Bronx
The Bronx is the northernmost borough of New York City, covering 42 square miles with a population of about 1.47 million. It's the only borough on the U.S. mainland, bordered by Westchester County to the north, Manhattan across the Harlem River to the west, Queens across the East River to the south, and Long Island Sound to the east. The borough is divided by the Bronx River into a hilly west and flatter east, with street names split by Jerome Avenue. About a quarter of its area is open space, including Van Cortlandt Park, Pelham Bay Park, the New York Botanical Garden, and the Bronx Zoo. The Thain Family Forest is a remnant of the original forest that once covered the city. The Bronx is also home to Yankee Stadium. The name comes from Jonas Bronck, who settled here in 1639. For anyone searching for a dispensary near me in the Bronx, BX Buddiez is located at 2935 3rd Ave., serving neighborhoods across this vibrant borough.
