Ordering cannabis delivery in NYC is straightforward. Here's the process:
- Find a licensed dispensary – Only retailers licensed by the New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) can legally deliver. Look for their license number.
- Browse the menu – Most dispensaries have an online menu updated in real time. You can filter by product type, potency, or price.
- Place your order – Add items to your cart, enter your delivery address, and choose a delivery window. Some dispensaries offer same-day delivery.
- Verify your age – You'll need to show a valid government ID at delivery. The driver will check it.
- Pay and receive – Payment is typically cash, debit, or digital options like Aeropay. The delivery is discreet.
That's it. No medical card needed, just a valid ID and being 21 or older.
Uber Eats
Uber Eats is a food delivery platform that started in 2014 and has grown into one of the largest services globally, competing with DoorDash and Grubhub. It allows users to order food from local restaurants and have it delivered by drivers. Uber Eats has expanded into other delivery categories, including alcohol and groceries in some markets, but cannabis remains prohibited. While the company has expressed interest in cannabis delivery if federal laws change, it hasn't implemented it in New York. For now, if you're looking for weed delivery, licensed dispensaries like BX Buddiez are your best bet.
